Ramblings of a Round Blue Blob

So, I have been speaking to a friend recently, and they have made me aware of the concept of blogs.  I mean, sure, I’ve heard about blogs before, and even considered using pathetic sites for blogging in the past, but never before have I been serious about the concept of blogging.  Since this recent ‘push’, I have decided to attempt a blog.  Don’t expect an update, for the record, because chances are that I will completely forget about this blog altogether within the next few days. Oh well.

So, time to introduce myself to the world.  From this point on, I guess that I can be called Argon.  For safety reasons, of course.  Not at all to make me seem smarter than I am.  I have many interests.  I suppose they will be revealed to the world in time.  Perhaps something new in each blog entry?  Because this is my first blog on this site, and because this works as an introduction, I will not continue my usual tradition of ranting my little heart out.  Instead, I will be kind and not put you through the horror of enduring my life problems for the time being.

Another tradition of mine regarding my previous blogs is introducing the reader to something new during each entry.  In the past, I have written websites, posted pictures, given literature suggestions, and other pointless things.  I don’t know if I really should be doing that during my introduction, but I might as well.

So, everyone reading this blog today should consider picking themselves up a copy of a language tape.  Yes, I mean the type of tape that you see in cartoons where a character listens to them over one night and instantly knows another language.  It sounds pathetic, I agree, but it turns out to be somewhat amusing.  I was at a bookstore the other day with a buddy of mine, and they had noticed the tape (Or in this day and age, CD) on the book rack.  Knowing that I already had an interest in learning this specific language, they showed me the tape and -encouraged- (I use this term extremely loosely right now) me to buy it.  I did.  I have listened to the whole thing several times right now.  I must admit, it gets on my nerves how some of the voices sound, and it’s not nearly as entertaining as good music, but keeping my mind occupied is always a good thing.  For the safety of the world, that is.  You know, no more evil plots and stuff.  I’m not a good multi-tasker, so I can’t dictate the end of the world and learn a complicated, non-Germanic language at the same time.  Back to the story: I have now officially learned how to say “Hello”  “How much is this?” “Where can I find the bank?”  “I’m staying at the ______ hotel” and “Help” in another language.  Not very helpful.  Oh well.  It was worth the try.

Well, all in all, don’t take anything I say here seriously.  I’m not a very serious person, and nothing I say will ever make sense.  Keep that in mind while you enter the blogging works of Argon.  And welcome to the Argonic Charge.

  1. I put a fake email. So that’s not really my email.

But I am so proud of you for jumping on the blog bandwagon. Whoot! I love the cute little blue blobs. Where’s the sheep? Baa!

I love you, and your rantings/ramblings. ‘Tis the life of a noble element.

    Rock on.

  2. Indeed. In fact, I’m too noble for ions. So ha.

And you’re calling my blobs cute? O.o I’m not cute! I’m ferocious. And Argonic. And… and… fine. Be that way.
